@joshmillard People throwing around signup numbers of Threads vs. Bluesky vs. Mastodon as if it was a competition. But Mastodon doesn't need to grow or gain market share. It's not like Mastodon has revenue goals to report to a board of investors.

Oh, and everybody is heating with #heatpumps. Yes, at the polar circle, not kidding.
Meanwhile, in Denmark, the city of #Esbjerg replaced a full-scale coal power plant with a huge heat pump power plant. Like the coal one, the heat pump is providing heat for the city. Remote heat (Fernwärme). But now the wind mills offshore heat the houses of Esbjerg. All while our stupid politicians tell us that will never work. I'm so bored of these technology-haters. CDU/CSU and FDP, please come to reason!

I'd say #Microsoft just winning the #BigBrotherAwards #BBA23 for their lifetime achievements warrants a cheeky bump/boost of the track above... ⬆️

Blessed with a full moon tonight as Henry (pictured) punted the season’s first bat safari to Grantchester. Setting off just before dusk with hand held bat detectors we drifted down the river as Iain Webb from The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs & Northants interpreted the clicks and squeaks of the bats flying all around us.
